Its wedding organising time and we have some great tips to start organising your wedding and making your day super successful, and here are out tips to give you a good start.

  • Set a budget and stick to it.  This will help you prioritize what’s most important and avoid overspending. We have a helpful spreadsheet that makes finding your budget easier here.
  • Create a wedding planning checklist and timeline. This will help you stay on the track when organising your wedding day and on track as you plan different aspects of the wedding.
  • Choose a venue (Venues) and set the date. The venue and date will help determine many other aspects of the wedding, so it’s important to make these decisions early on.
  • Choose your wedding party and vendors. This includes the wedding planner, caterer, florist, photographer, and other vendors. Make sure to read reviews and meet with them in person before making a decision.
  • Decide on a theme and colour scheme. This will help guide the overall look and feel of the wedding.
  • Create a wedding registry. This will give your guests an idea of the gifts you would like to receive, and also make it easy for them to know what to buy.
  • Take care of legal requirements. This include obtaining a marriage license and ensuring that your wedding and reception venues are properly licensed.
  • Plan for unexpected contingencies. Have a plan B for bad weather, traffic, or other potential issues that may arise on your big day. There is nothing worse when you have done to all the trouble in organising your wedding day and there is no plan b for bad weather.
  • Lastly, delegate tasks. It is important to divide the work with your partner, family and friends, so that the work is not all on one person, and also to make sure that everyone is involved in the process.
  • If all that fails find a wonderful wedding planner., start considering how your organising is going to effect you and your partner. Dont rush organising everything all at once, be safe with the date you choose and make your organising stress free by taking your time. But remember every wedding must start with a good celebrant like myself.

When all that seems to hard, get your best friend to help you, after you call me.
