Wedding Couples looking to get married at home often say to me, I looked at getting a registry wedding but then decided that it was all too hard!

So the question is are home weddings better than registry weddings, obviously I think so, but we consider the benefits in more details. The truth is its super easy to get married at home, or in your local area and perhaps half the price of trouble, money and hassle. When a couple calls me, (willing that i am not in the middle of a wedding also), I ask them simple questions first

These questions determine what you’re looking for straight up. A lot of couples are not looking for all the bells and whistles, they are looking to just do the paperwork and get their certificate straight up. Remember you do have a one month waiting period.

I send them out a email fairly fast, once they confirmed they would like to go ahead at least have our first meeting. I either travel over to their place to get all the bits ready or they can meet me at my office or local area over a cuppa. The truth is, celebrants like me make it easy, we do most of the leg work, all we require is a understanding on what you would like, some identification such as a birth certificate or passport, and a understanding that you want to get married.
